Carpet Cleaning Methods
There are many different carpet cleaning methods that
consumers use. These include store bought solutions and carpet cleaners, rental equipment, and professional
cleaning services. Which one is best depends on the individual situation of the consumer, and this is why it
is so very important to study the options, weigh them against the needs, and make a determination of the best
course of action. For customers that are elderly, disabled, or have problems with the size and weight of the
carpet cleaning machines professional carpet cleaning methods might be
the best choice. Professionals can come to the consumer’s home,
clean carpets, and leave with a minimum of fuss and bother as well as very little drying time. Some companies
will even move smaller pieces of furniture without a problem and for an additional charge and an advanced warning
most companies will also move larger pieces of furniture as well. This is very important for the consumer
that might want to rearrange furniture or for the customer that is going to be removing or replacing
furniture. It is also significant for the customer that might be planning on moving. All of these
individuals would certainly want all of the carpet cleaned – not just what could be seen around the furniture.
For those that are not interested in spending the money for professional
cleaning, however, there are other ways to get carpets clean. Most major chain grocery stores and many
hardware stores rent carpet cleaning equipment that individuals can use in their homes. While not the same as
professional carpet cleaning, the quality of many of these machines is quite good and they are generally easy to
use. They are somewhat heavier than standard vacuum cleaners and the water and cleaning solution must be
changed – more frequently if the carpet is very dirty – but they are still relatively easy to operate, making them
a good choice for consumers that want to clean their own carpets. This is, of course, provided that the
consumer is strong enough and healthy enough for the work and the lifting that will be involved. Most
individuals would fall into this category, however, and there are few consumers that would not be able to operate
this type of machinery as long as reasonable caution is taken. For elderly or infirm consumers, however, help
might be needed or desired to clean the carpets, especially if the house is large or furniture must be moved.
Some consumers choose to purchase a carpet cleaning machine as the carpet cleaning method for them. These
machines can be purchased at major retail chain stores and they often work very well. They are usually
lighter and more streamlined than the rental machines and they come with explicit instructions as to how they are
to be used and what the consumer can expect. Most of them use a specific cleaning solution that must be
purchased, but this is usually not very expensive. The only problem with these machines is the can be
expensive and consumers usually do not use them that often, so they must be stored away until they are needed
again.
